Tamil Nadu to Introduce Road Safety Lessons in Schools

Starting from the 2025–26 academic year, Tamil Nadu will integrate daily road safety lessons into school assemblies. Over 800 teachers are being trained to deliver these lessons to 300,000 students under the “Uyir Kutty Cops” program. The curriculum will focus on recognising traffic signs, understanding road discipline, and basic first-aid.
